[To Know Time] Jesus Christ Transcends Time

(Romans 4:17-22 NKJV) Abraham believed in God, who raises up the dead and makes things which are not as they might be, and who is the father of our human before Him.  As it is written, "I have made you a father of many nations."  When there was no hope, he believed in hope and became the father of many nations, just as it was said, "So shall your seed be."  And he was not weak in his faith, when he was nearly a hundred years old, though he remembered that his own body was as dead, and that Sarah's womb had ceased.  And trusting in the promises of God did not cause doubt in his heart through unbelief.  But was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God.  And were fully confident that what God had promised would be done.  Therefore it was credited to him as righteousness.

When did Abraham have his child, and When did Sarah bear her child? Not in the days of youth and strength, but in old age, when her body was as if she were dead, and Sarah had ceased her menstruation.  They believed in God. They believed in Jesus, who was beyond the age and time. So God led them to do what they could not do at that age.  For he that hopeth in God shall not be ashamed.

Why are people anxious?  One important factor is age.  We hear a lot about if, if you don't learn English before the age of three, you will miss the language sensitive period.  If you don't have children by the age of 30, your children will be less healthy and intelligent.  People's life is divided into intervals of time, in the interval of life step by step, so that people's heart will be slightly stable for a moment.  Once out of a certain range, a person will start to become extremely anxious, like a child who is lost at the starting line and fears that he will never catch up.  Yet Jesus is beyond time.

Jesus said he was Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, as if it were a straight line without a beginning or an end. Wherever you look along the line, it is a straight line with no end.  According to people, our life is limited, strong to 80 years old only, the limited time will bring infinite pressure to people.  But today Jesus showed mercy and connected our lives in a straight line that has no end or end, which is eternal life.  For immortality, there is no difference between having a child at 30 and having a child at 100.  In the hope of eternal life man is freed from the control of time and from the anxiety of time.  So we are like Abraham, who believed in hope when there was no hope.  With an eye on immortality, it is never too late to start at any point in life, because it is connected with immortality.  Even people who are 70 or 80 years old in their flesh are just beginning to eternal life.

The power of the beginning brings people endless hope, let people get rid of the melancholy of the past, so as to forget behind, and make efforts forward.  It is like Caleb, who is eighty-five years old in the eyes of men, yet his strength does not wane. His strength is as strong at forty as it is at eighty-five.  For Caleb set his eyes on God, and God is eternal life.

Jesus is beyond time, so that people who believe in Jesus will also be beyond time.  He looked a little old, like Caleb, but he escaped the fear and decay of age by looking forward to Jesus.  At the age of eighty-five, Caleb was still able to lead an army, as physically and mentally as he was forty years old.  So why can't we be 40 today as we were 20?  Why not have the brain and heart of a 20-year-old?  Why pessimistic old age, everything is late?  Why is it good to be young?  In Jesus Christ, not the young ones are good, but the ones who know how to trust Jesus are good.
